There are six crafting skills
Weapon Smithing
Armor Smithing
Tailoring
Jewel Crafting
Alchemy
Cooking
To create you go through a number of steps
1. Learn the skill
2. Learn the blue print
3. Collect material
4. Craft
Not all craft attempts will succeed so beware.
The higher your skill, the lower the chance to fail.
Very rarely you will make green level item.
You may also very very rarely be able to create Shining (blue level) item when creating Expert Craftsman level items. Not only are the stats much better but they also look different.
